Job Purpose: To assist in the operations of the mill.
Key
Responsibilities:
Assist all departments throughout the mill.
Help with the saw line operations and blow down.
Breakout saw line, strapper, and forklift and Manlift.
Help with rework.
Perform housekeeping in saw line and paint booth area.
Maintain area clean and safe.
Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Learn job responsibilities of aids and fill in when needed.
Complete control plans and operational check sheets monitoring production process.
Able to be flexible and rotate between day and night shifts when needed.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
High School Diploma
Ability read, understand and follow safety rules and regulations
Essential Functions:
Ability to climb, bend, stoop, squat and lift over 40 pounds
Ability to work in confined spaces and at substantial heights
Ability to use a respirator
Ability to use radio and effective communicate with all departments.
Work Environment:
Mill environment subject to weather extremes
