About The Opportunity
What you?ll do
This role serves as the strategic and tactical leader for all Purchasing activities in the Americas, directly supporting automotive manufacturing operations in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil, in addition to working collaboratively with peers and other Purchasing colleagues around the globe. The focus of this role includes the functions of materials (identification, procurement and pricing), vendor capacity management and adding new vendors, managing ongoing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely efficient operational receipt and approval processing of vendor invoices.
Lead a culturally diverse team of Purchasing professionals to achieve and exceed goals that drive financial business results. Support the team through hiring qualified high-performance team members, and ensure team members are engaged, properly trained, working collaboratively, and are held accountable for measurable results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sourcing
Ensure strict application of Purchasing standard for sourcing and supplier selection.
Contribute to divisional initiatives to optimize supplier portfolio (convergence plans).
Work closely with commodity buyers / leaders to ensure deployment of best practices and implementation of PAP initiatives.
Coordinate and initiate plant based activity to support the implementation of productivity action plans.
Lead the Make or Buy strategy deployment for the region with commodity leadership support.
Supplier QCD Performance
Coordinate, initiate and follow up plant activities to achieve supplier quality targets.
Support CIP initiatives and follow up plant activities to improve supplier economic performance (negotiation, resourcing, VA/VE., etc.).
Programmes
Lead New Business Acquisition (NBA) activities for the region.
Ensure NBA (Q+S) data is taken in account in respect of the standards and allowed lead-time
Use costing tools to ensure reliability, accuracy and efficiency.
Work closely with the commodity network (CPM and SQC) to launch upstream supplier development and readiness.
Ensure and support the usage of right standards and ways-of-working (APQP, iPM, etc.).
Non-Production, Indirect Materials (IDM) Purchasing
Ensure that division/group policies and contracts are applied effectively.
Challenge divisional team on productivity actions proposed and support efficient deployment at the plant, country, and regional level.
Facilitate the communication with stakeholder to find QCD initiatives (NPS, CAPEX, OEE, etc.).
Bundle sourcing and negotiations as much as possible within scope of responsibility (service, maintenance contractors, facilities, business tools, etc.).
Processes and Reporting
Using standard IT tools, ensure accurate, transparent, consistent and standardized data management and reporting processes in the region.
Ensure regular review of the plants Purchasing Activity Planning (PAP) and ensure that PAP reporting system is updated
Ensure standardized, accurate and on time monthly reporting of the plants in accordance with Product Line process and tools.
This position reports directly to the SVP of Regional Operations, and matrix reports to the global SVP of Purchasing. Keyinternal relationships include regional commodity buyers / managers, regional supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, application engineering, finance, quality, and supply chain.
About you
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in business, procurement, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
At least 10 years of Purchasing experience.
At least 5 years of experience leading teams.
Automotive manufacturing experience.
Fluent in English.
Experience and additional qualifications:
Formal training / certifications in purchasing and contract negotiation.
Demonstrated success working in an international matrixed organisation.
Experience working in multiple countries is a plus.
Proven experience of being bottom-line results oriented.
Proven ability to use complex data from multiple sources to make sounds business decisions.
Up to 50% overnight travel required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
